Lois Allen Wolves

Mrs. Lamattina-Estrada

Greetings!

My name is Mrs. Anne Estrada (formerly known as Ms. LaMattina) and I teach Third grade here at Lois Allen. I have only been here for 2 years, but have taught elementary school for a total of 10 years. I grew up in Central California where I taught for many years. Then I moved to Florida, but now have planted my roots here in the Reno area. On a personal note, I consider my students my children as I don't have kids yet, but would consider my husband the big kid at home! He keeps me plenty busy as we're always on the go and share so many interests and hobbies. I spend time with many nieces/nephews and family who live here in Reno.

I earned my college degree and teaching license at Fresno State Univerity in California. I am currently taking a year long course to earn my certification in teaching English-second language learners as this is an immediate need in today's classroom. Then I hope to pursue my Master's degree in Literature. But I get most of my true hands-on experience teaching students everyday in the classroom. I have a passion for teaching. My main goal for each student in my classroom is to achieve at their highest potential. I enjoy making my classroom a memorable experience for all my students. If my students come to school each day with a smile then I know I am doing my job!

Each child at Lois Allen has a personal account set up on Study Island. Go here to work on math and reading skills, play games and learn about the Nevada Academic Standards.
