Teaching American History Project
  2008-2009
Resources

The Teaching American History Project is designed to raise student achievement by improving teachers' knowledge, understanding of, and appreciation for traditional U.S. History. To do so, we've compiled a comprehensive list of social studies resources, either within the Washoe County School District, throughout the state of Nevada, or by credible and helpful websites.

In addition to our own wonderful grant partnerships, we encourage you to support workshops and professional development opportunities not sponsored by the TAHP grant. Other proven strategies of historical and analytical interpretations using primary and secondary sources can provide exciting and memorable experiences for students. There is an ever-growing wealth of knowledge available to our generation of teachers that should be taken full advantage of.

“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning." - Benjamin Franklin
