Welcome back to school!
I am so excited for the new school year!
Everyone should have received a school calendar/handbook during the first week of school. Every Wednesday is an Early Release day with students being dismissed at 2:30 pm. This day is dedicated to teacher professional development and for staff to meet with their grade levels. Just a reminder our school hours are 9:15 – 3:15 for this school year and we are on a single-track green calendar.
Parents please remember to meet your child(ren) outside of their wing doors after school. In the morning, students should go directly to their playground, not through the building. Students should not arrive before 8:50 am unless they are in the before/after school program. This is for the safety of your child(ren) since there is no teacher supervision before that time.
The lunch menu is online. You will need to go to the WCSD web page and then to the pay online for lunches tab and follow the directions. If you have questions please call Nutrition Services at 353-5930.
I plan to utilize the automated phone call system, Connect-Ed to communicate important information and dates to our families in addition to a monthly newsletter and reminder fliers that will come home with your child(ren). I have an open door policy please do not hesitate to contact me by phone, email or in person.
