CRES BULLYING SURVEY DATA 08-09
Great news: 98% of Caughlin Ranch 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students reported that they feel safe and comfortable at Caughlin Ranch ES!! The WCSD Safe and Drug Free Schools Department did a survey on bullying in the schools. This survey was given to 4th, 5th and 6th grade students around the district. SERVICE CLUB NEEDS PAPER BAGS
The Service Club needs clean paper bags in good condition for their upcoming Food Drive to help the Northern Nevada Food Bank. They are collecting the bags at the front entrance inside the school. Please do not bring plastic bags.

YOUNG REMBRANDTS DRAWING CLASSES
The Fall drawing classes begin on September 22 and go through November 17. This 8 week session costs $88 and will be held in the CRES library from 3:10 to 4:10 on Tuesdays. SPANISH LESSONS
Spanish lessons at CRES begin on September 21. Classes will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays until Dec. 16. No classes on Nov. 11 and Nov. 25. The classes will be held after school from 3:10 - 3:55 PM and the cost is $135 for the first child and $120 for each additional child. MUSIC LESSONS OFFERED AT CRES
Sierra Arts Foundation is offering half-hour private instruction in piano, guitar, violin, and voice lessons. Weekly lessons will be taught at CRES, Monday through Thursday, between 11:30 AM and 4 PM. Cost per lesson is $22.50. SCIENCE FAIR 2009
All of the Science Fair Participants did an amazing job. We definitely have future Scientists at our school. Sixteen students were selected to go to the Regional Science Fair, which will be held March 26-28 at Lawlor Events Center, UNR. To view this year’s winners and many other Science Fair projects view here. Mrs. Scherr’s 3rd grade class opted out of the Science Fair and made beautiful dioramas displaying habitats of wildlife and plant life. Many of these dioramas can be viewed at the photo gallery.

RENAISSANCE PLACE HOME CONNECT
Our PTA has provided funds to update our Accelerated Reader program to Renaissance Place. Students are now able to login from home and view their AR points, AR tests they have taken, and their scores for each AR test. Go to https://Hosted209.renlearn.com/261049/HomeConnect/Login.aspx.
