[5TH GRADE]

[GAAR]

Our Social Studies curriculum includes the Great American Awards Requirements, (GAAR). The fifth grade students memorize and recite several historical documents that makeup our United States. These requirements are for a grade as well as awards. The students receive certificates, pins, medals, and trophies based on their accomplishments. This project is done midyear and the awards are given out in the month of May.

[CATS DAY]

At the end of each quarter, the students celebrate with CATS DAY. This includes choosing from a variety of activities such as, movies, computer time, P.E. and art. To attend CATS DAY, the fifth graders must meet all the expectations presented by their teachers.
