District Invites Community to Budget Townhall Meeting
What: The Washoe County School District will be hosting five townhall meetings during the month of May to provide an update on and to discuss the District's budget situation. The next meeting in the series is tomorrow evening.
When: Wednesday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: McQueen High School Theater (6055 Lancer St., Reno)
Why: Superintendent Dr. Heath Morrison will be discussing the potential $75 million budget shortfall and its impact on the WCSD.
Who: Parents, WCSD employees and community members are invited to attend the townhalls as the District wants to hear input from all stakeholders about the budget.
Future Budget Townhall Dates:
Thursday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Reed HS in the cafeteria
