KNPB to Broadcast High School Football Playoff Game

KNPB-TV public television, in cooperation with Gustin Sports Productions and the NIAA (Nevada Interscholastic Athletic Association) will broadcast the Northern Nevada Division 4A regional high school football playoff game Saturday November 26.

The game will be played at Mackay Stadium at the University of Nevada Reno. The broadcast will begin with a pre-game show at noon followed by kick-off at approximately 12:15pm.

Veteran play-by-play announcer Dan Gustin will call the game. The winner will play the southern Nevada regional champion for the State Championship on December 3.

"This is the first time KNPB has had the opportunity to connect our community by providing this broadcast to our viewers in central and northern Nevada. We are really pleased to be working with Dan Gustin and his team on what we believe will be an annual addition to our broadcast schedule," said KNPB President & CEO Kurt Mische. "We appreciate the 16 sponsors who have stepped up to make this broadcast possible."

In addition to the over-the-air broadcast on KNPB, the game will also be streamed on the web on the station's website, www.knpb.org and on the Gustin Sports web site, www.gustinsports.com.

"No matter where you are in the area, as well as extended families around the world, you will be able to see this game live over the air or on line," said Dan Gustin. "This is a great way to highlight the talented teams and student athletes in our area."
