Tech Prep Courses

College Tech Prep is offered in Career & Technical Education (CTE) courses in each high school, and at the Academy of Arts, Careers and Technology (AACT). Students earn community college credit at the same time they are earning high school credit. College Tech Prep courses are taught TO high school students AT their high school BY their own high school teacher. There is NO tuition cost! To earn community college credit, students must:
  1. Be a high school student
  2. Enroll in a CTE Tech Prep articulated course
  3. Complete a College Tech Prep application
  4. Earn a grade of B or better in the course

Career and Technical Education is funded by the Carl Perkins Vocational and Applied Technology Education Basic Grant. All classes and programs are open to students regardless of sex, race, color, national origin or handicap. Every effort will be made to assist students with special needs so they may succeed in CTE courses.
