WelcomeDamonte Ranch High School, the newest high school in the Washoe County School District, opened on August 25, 2003. All DRHS students will be challenged to use their minds well and expected to meet high academic standards through their participation in a seamless vertical educational system. s Because the achievement of academic excellence mandates differentiated instruction throughout the curriculum, the faculty will ensure uninterrupted educational opportunities through content area teaming, block scheduling, instructional centers and the Damonte Dialogue. The faculty will provide the support necessary to meet rigorous academic standards while being sensitive to the unique developmental challenges and social equity for all students. Damonte Ranch High School will be synonymous with excellence in its students, faculty and staff, resources, learning opportunities, co-curricular and extra curricular activities.
