About Damonte Ranch High School
The Damonte Ranch family began ranching in the Truckee Meadows in 1913. The original name of the Louis Damonte Ranch was Peleg Brown Ranch and it encompassed approximately 629 acres in the southern Truckee meadows at the North end of the steam boat valley. Louie and Louise Damonte had four children, Cecile, Emily, Ben and Gladys.
At the date of opening on August 26, 2003
