Safety and Security
Capital Projects works diligently to ensure the safety and security of students at staff of the Washoe County School District.
As of October 2010:
- 2,563 locks have been replaced with Rollover Bond funding at 21 elementary schools.
- 14 elementary schools have had perimeter fencing installed, funneling visitors through a single point of entry.
- Closed-caption TV security systems have been added to 15 high school campuses.
