How will you apply what you learned today?
- Using cell phones to do student surveys during debates and discussions.
- I will definitely use the virtual museum for teaching ancient civilizations find information online for 1st grade units with Net Trekker
- I'm going to go onto the virtual pre-k site & kinder site to get information to pass out to parents.
- I plan to go to writingfix.com to try an iPod writing lesson. I also plan to do a lesson where I have my kids use a digital camera to take pictures that they will use to inspire their writing.
- Loved the cell phone booth and would love to have students use for anticipation guides to reading novels
- Sign up for mypodcast.com site and create a classroom podcast...sounds simple and fun!
- Introducing blogging Gmail
- As a counselor, I will be able to create an interactive blog and or podcast to let the students, parents and staff know about community resources.
- ipod lesson in Spanish, get students interested in Latin Pop music.
- I would like to use Google docs to create my own web page.
- I would like to utilize the podcasts or teacher tube for test reviews so that students can recall the information in nearly the same way that it was originally presented. Repetition is key.
- Use Google docs to create a Trivial Pursuit-type game in my history classroom.
- Doing blogging again in my class.
- I would like to use more music and video based lesson plans, in which I utilize multiple mediums of entertainment to create an eclectic lesson plan that will appeal to more diverse, modern, learners.
- Alice was free and I would like to research this further.
- The assistive technology to teach reading will be a great addition to the tool kit. Cell phones could be used to get student input to lessons.
General Comments
- If possible we need to have more Technology Cafes more often, I was not able to see all that I wanted to
- Excellent information about what technology is available to educators and actually seeing.
- So much to learn, please offer classes in all of the topics offered at the Tech cafe.
- I really enjoyed this and appreciate the opportunity to experience so much technology in one place
I think that it was a good showing and I enjoyed the interaction with the people in the booths with their technology. - This was a great event. It did make me realize how tech-challenged I am and that I need to learn more.
