Washoe County School District provides special education services to students from three to six years of age in a variety of settings. Each setting is designed to enhance the developmental domains of communication, cognition, physical development, and social and emotional development. Our continuum of services include preschool sites, integrated settings in our community such as Head Start, small group settings at a variety of Washoe County school sites, special school programs, and home or hospital services

Students who attend our Early Childhood Special Education Programs have completed an assessment and met eligibility requirements. Once eligibility has been established an individualized educational plan is developed to provide the most appropriate service delivery model and setting. Assessments can be scheduled through the Child Find Assessment Center . Please call 333-5035 for more information.
