SES Frequently Asked Questions
What is SES?
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) is free, extra academic support provided to your child to help his or her academic performance. SES takes place outside of the regular school day with Title I paying the cost of the academic help to the SES provider. The SES program was established under the federal No Child Left Behind Act.
Does my child qualify for SES?
Title I schools that are In Need of Improvement for two or more years offer SES. Only students who qualify for free/reduced lunch are eligible to receive tutoring from the SES providers at no cost to the parents. The eighteen WCSD schools that offer SES for the 2011-2012 school year are:

Who provides the supplemental educational services?
Supplemental educational service (SES) providers are businesses/agencies/ organizations that have been approved by the Nevada Department of Education to provide tutoring services to eligible students in Nevada.
How do I register my child for SES?
Choose an SES provider from the SES Handbook and complete an SES registration form. Registration forms are available at each Title I SES school. If you would like assistance selecting a SES provider or completing the SES registration form, please contact your school's Parent Involvement Facilitator or contact the Title I office.
