Welcome to the Echo Loder website! As you may know, Echo Loder is a school on the move! Coming up next year we will be re-launching as a World Culture Signature School. This will make Echo Loder the first school of this type ever in Washoe County! When the school doors open for the 2011-2012 school year, your child can look forward to an exciting adventure in the study of world languages and cultures. It is our intention to guide our students towards a better understanding of the cultural backgrounds of their classmates and of people around the world. We believe that this understanding will foster a greater level of respect for the great diversity of cultures present in our school and the United States today.

A dual Spanish/English language program will begin in first grade next year and will continue to roll up through successive grades in the following years.

In addition to our dual language program we are also very excited to be the only elementary school in Northern Nevada to offer a Mandarin Chinese program! Two instructors will begin instruction for students in second through fourth grade next year with the program expected to expand to encompass all grades in the following years.

We are extremely excited to get started working with all of you as we prepare our children for the future!
