As part of our World Culture initiative, we are proud to announce that Echo Loder ES is collaborating with STARTALK to launch our Chinese program in 2011-2012 school year. STARTALK is one of the components of the National Security Language Initiative by President Bush. It seeks to increase the number of Americans learning, speaking, and teaching critical need foreign languages.
The students in grades 2 to 4 will learn Mandarin through thematic units/projects.  They will explore Chinese culture through art, crafts, calligraphy, and other fun-filled activities. Additionally, we plan to incorporate math instruction through Chinese in our after-school program. We are also looking forward to start Chinese Summer Camp in year 2012.
We are extremely excited that we are able to offer these excellent learning opportunities to our students to prepare them to be proficient and globally competitive.

我们非常骄傲地宣布， Echo Loder 小学与STARTALK合作之下，将在2011-2012学年推出我们的中文课程。 STARTALK是由美国总统布什倡议的国家安全语言的一个组成部分。它旨在提高美国人学习，讲，及教“迫切需要外语”的数量。

 2至4年级的学生将通过专题学习单位/项目来学普通话。他们将通过艺术，手工艺，书法，及其他充满乐趣的活动来探讨中国文化。此外，我们计划和并数学教学及汉语在我们的课外活动。我们也期待着在2012年开始中文夏令营。

我们非常高兴能够给学生们提供这些良好的学习机会及准备，使他们成为精通和拥有全球竞争力。
