Automobiles & Parking

Parking on the campus of Galena High School is a privilege. All students who will be driving to school and parking on campus must pay $5.00 for a parking permit.

· All cars that park on campus will be required to be registered with the Discipline Office. A parking permit will be issued for each car. That permit should be placed on the lower left side of the windshield in plain sight.
· Please observe the posted speed limits of 15 mph in the school zones and 10 mph in the GHS parking lots and on Grizzly Way.
· Vehicles parked illegally at red/yellow curbs, fire lanes, bus lanes or handicapped parking spaces can be subject to a police citation.
· Students are not allowed to park in the faculty parking lot located in the back of the school.
· Students are responsible to be aware of the age requirements for having passengers in their cars. School police will cite students if they are not in compliance with the law. If you have questions regarding this contact the Discipline office or school police.
· Absolutely no loitering in the parking lot.
· A $5 administrative fee will be charged for vehicle permits.
