Parking Lot & Building
Parents, we request you NOT enter the building after school to pick up your child(ren). Please prearrange a meeting spot and have the kids meet you outside.

The speed limit in our parking lot is 5 MPH. Please be very cautious when navigating the lot after school, as some of our students are less careful than others when walking out to cars.

Hunsberger's school mascot is the Siberian Husky; school colors are green and silver. Friday is School Spirit Day; we encourage students to dress in school colors on Fridays.

Hunsberger's Dress Code

We at Hunsberger Elementary School realize that there is a wide range of personal expression in clothing, grooming, and accessories. At the same time, we recognize our responsibility to ensure that students' clothing is appropriate for school.

Clothes are clean, fresh, safe and do not display any symbols related to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, violence, bigotry or illegal or gang-related activities. Clothes which are suggestive, revealing or are likely to disrupt the education program are not permitted. This includes shorts which are too short, t-shirts that expose midriffs or bellybuttons, exposed or plunging necklines. We do need the parents' help in making sure that children are using common sense in selecting schoolwear. School is your child's "job" and they need to dress appropriately for that job.

Shoes must be worn at all times. We suggest that tennis shoes are a better choice than sandals due to the activities your child will be engaged in at school. Flip-flops are not appropriate footwear and are discouraged.

Students wearing inappropriate clothing to school will be sent home to change, call parents to bring them a change, or they may borrow clothing from the clinic.
