Opportunity
Behavior Junior/Senior High School is designed to provide alternative
instruction to students in grades 7 – 12 who have been temporarily assigned
from other schools throughout the Washoe County School District. Opportunity
Behavior School is not a school of choice; a student must be referred here
through the Student Services Office or Specialized Student Services. |
What is Opportunity Behavior School
Opportunity Behavior Junior/Senior High School Welcome Opportunity
Behavior School is designed to provide alternative instruction to students in
grades seventh through twelve who have been temporarily assigned from other
schools throughout the Washoe County School District. The goal is to assist
students in changing their behaviors, so that they may successfully return to
their regular campus. To ensure this return, students are required to
regularly attend school, adopt and maintain a positive attitude, follow all
school rules and regulations, and perform well academically. Students must
physically attend Opportunity Behavior Junior/Senior High for a minimum of
nine weeks unless misbehavior or attendance dictates otherwise. The
administration and staff believe that all students can, with the necessary
effort behave appropriately in the educational setting. Therefore, the
Opportunity Behavior School staff is dedicated to providing your student with
ample opportunities to leave past mistakes behind and look toward a

Where is Opportunity Behavior School
Opportunity Behavior Junior/Senior High is located
in the Glen Hare building at 350 Hunter Lake Drive. When coming to the school
please use the east parking area and entrance, located on Foster Drive across
from the Reno YMCA. The phone number is 333-5351 |
School Day
Opportunity Behavior School operates on a full day
schedule six periods per day, students must complete their enrollment in good
standing in order to transition back to a regular comprehensive high school.
