PARENT PREVIEW NIGHT INFORMATION POSTCARD

 

The Washoe County School District invites you to attend a Parent Night to preview the S.H.A.R.E. program for elementary, middle and high school curriculum. Please note the dates, locations and time. There is one date for elementary, middle school and high school. More elementary preview nights will be added.

Elementary School preview will cover 4th, 5th and 6th grades. Middle School preview will cover 7th and 8th grade materials and 6th grade for those needed. High school preview will cover 9th grade curriculum. Attending these sessions should answer all questions concerning the SHARE program and what your child will be taught.

Please plan on attending one of these scheduled previews as individual school previews are not possible. The time during 6:00-8:00 p.m., SHARE materials and curriculum will be presented. To find out when your child will receive SHARE instruction please check the Washoe County School District website, www.washoe.k12.nv.us/parents/s.h.a.r.e. after the first week of school.

The mission of the Washoe County School District S.H.A.R.E. program is to provide students with a factual comprehensive, abstinence -based instructional program delivered by specially trained teachers and counselors addressing the HIV/AIDS awareness, reproductive system, STI's and sexual responsibility.  The focus of the SHARE program is to help students make informed choices and avoid at-risk behavior.
