About FBLA

Anyone may attend meetings, but in order to be a member
you have to pay dues. This covers National, State and Chapter dues.
We have fundraisers to help defer costs of the State and National competitions, but if
we don't make enough money then the members will have to contribute.

FBLA is a business organization in which members compete in many events such as
Business Calculations, Economics, Job Interviewing, Spelling, Computer Concepts,
JavaScript, Web Design and much more.

For a complete list click on the National Website at top of page link.

Members also get to

learn many helpful business practices and about being professional. There are
also many opportunties to network with other members and professionals from the
business sector.

This club is not just for those who are going into
the field of business but for anyone interested in learning about business
in general, or about professionalism.

Students who are actively involved in FBLA will learn leadership, communication,
and social skills. FBLA provides students an opportunity to compete in a variety of local,
state and national business events where they can win medals, scholarships,
trophies, and gain recognition within the business community. First and second place winners
at state events travel to nationals held in various cities such as Washington D.C.,
Orlando, Florida and Los Angeles, California.
This year State is in Reno at the Grand Sierra Resort and Nationals is in San Antonio, Texas.

Being a member of FBLA and holding an office
within the organization is looked upon highly by colleges and universities for admission and scholarships.
