The Substance Abuse Intervention Program (SAP) is taught by state licensed school counselors, teachers and marriage and family therapists as well as school police officers and detectives.

The classes are:
Tuesday night from 7:00 pm to 9 pm. Check in is from 6:30 - 7:00
All classes are at Pine Middle School

Address:
Pine Middle School
4800 Niel Road, Reno, NV 89502

Students are required to attend the Substance Abuse Intervention classes with a parent or guardian. It is not a place that is appropriate to bring babies and young children.

The program is not conducted in a disciplinary fashion but is rather a learning and educational opportunity in lieu of further suspension.

The classes are designed to provide your child with a new beginning and to encourage them to process behavioral choices.

The goal is to increase parent and student dialogue about substance abuse in hopes to prevent further occurrences.

If after attending the Substance Abuse Intervention Program you have questions, concerns, or need further assistance or referrals, please call our office:

(775) 850-8012

If you plan to obtain counseling at your own expense in lieu of this program, please call this office to arrange a meeting for the required hours.
