Arrival Times
Neighborhood students should arrive no sooner than 8:20am if eating breakfast and 8:40am if they are not eating breakfast. Students should walk promptly home at 2:50pm. Students are not allowed on campus any earlier than 8:15am due to safety issues, as there is no supervision on the playground before that time.
Visitors and Volunteers
ALL visitors must check in and out of the office when visiting the school for any reson during the school day. This is for your child's safety and no exceptions to this regulation will be permitted. Visitors will be given a visitor pass button for easy identification while on site and must be returned to the office for checkout.

Transportation
Student safety is the number one concern at Sierra Vista. Transportation is provided for all Quail Run students that follow the rules of bus safety. If you have any questions or concerns about the transportation policy, please contact the school at 333-5080. Transportation at 353-5900.
Dress Code
Students must dress in accordance with the Washoe County School District's policy. Shorts may be worn on warm days, but should be fingertip in length. Students who wear tops that are too revealing or t-shirts with inappropriate slogans or pictures will be asked to change clothing. Pant length should be short enough not to drag on the ground and should be hemmed or neatly trimmed. Footwear should be appropriate for students to participate in physical education. High heels and backless shoes or flip-flops or thongs are unsafe for these activities.
Health
If your child becomes hurt or ill, we will have a clinical aide who will attend to the child's immediate needs. However, sick children belong at home! If your child becomes sick or hurt at schol, you will be contacted to take him/her home. If it becomes necessary for your child to take any form of medication at school, a signed note from the parent along with a consent for from the doctor must be provided to the office. Medication will be kept in and dispensed through the clinic only.
