Registration for the 2014-2015 School Year Has Started

Counselors are preparing for the for the 2014-2015 school year and in the coming weeks will be visiting your students classrooms to discuss course options for next year. Registration will be online again this year and to help you register your child and assist yothem with their course selection, we have added the 2014-2015 Sparks High Course Catalogue to the website. Click on this link to download the PDF file to provide you with important information about graduation and course requirements.

Dealing with Tragedy and Violence Community/Parent/Staff Resource Links

Washoe County School District wants to make sure resources are available to anyone in the community who may need them concerning the Sparks Middle School tragedy and dealing with tragedy.

If you are in need of resources please go to the WCSD Staff and Parent Resource page.There are resources available in English and Spanish for parents, students, and staff. We will be using this page in the coming months and updating it with more information as it becomes available.

Attention Seniors:  Senior Panoramic Coming!

Senior panoramics will be taken on April 23, 2014, in the big gym at 11:20 am.  All seniors will be required to show his/her student ID in order to be allowed in the gym. 

Order forms will be available soon from the Counseling Office.

 

Lip Sync Celebrates 20 Years!  

DancingLip Sync will be held Thursday, April 17 at 7 pm-9:15 pm in the big gym.  Tickets are $3.00 for students and $5.00 for adults if purchased in advance.  Ticket sales begin on Monday, April 14.  Tickets purchased at the door will be $5.00 for students and $7.00 for adults.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid

In an effort to communicate more effectively with our high education institutions, we are asking that parents of all incoming seniors and 5th year seniors be provided with a college release of information form.  Signing this form for your senior will enable schools to more effectively connect students to higher education opportunities and ensure .This release will assist all students in the transition to college and careers. Please find the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) form links below that allows us to share information with Nevada colleges and universities.
