2014 Principal of the Year Nominations
Do you have an outstanding Principal who is dedicated to student achievement and creates a culture of collaboration in which staff members work together as a professional learning community to promote student learning?

We will recognize one Elementary School, one Middle School, and one High School Principal for our Annual WCSD Principal of the Year program. These three finalists will be the opportunity to represent our district at the MetLife/NASSP National Principal of the Year and the National Distinguished Principals Programs. We have been working with the Washoe School Principals’ Association to put together this program as a way to celebrate our exceptionally dedicated, skilled, and knowledgeable Principals who inspire all students to excel.

2014 ESP of the Year Nonimations
Do you have an outstanding Education Support Professional who is dedicated to student achievement and is invested in the mission of your school or department? We invite you to nominate that stellar ESP for our Annual WCSD Education Support Professional of the Year Program. We will recognize one plant facilities ESP, one transportation ESP, one administrative support staff, and one aide/assistant and each will receive $1,000.

Completed nomination packets are due in Human Resources by Friday, March 28, 2014. We anticipate announcing the finalists sometime in April.


Scholarship Assistance Available for District's Educational Support Professionals!

The Diversity Scholarship Program for Educational Support Professional is seeking applicants.

The goal of the Washoe County School District's Diversity Scholarship Program for Educational Support Professionals is to provide our current classified employees a pathway into the teaching profession. The District has a compelling interest in increasing the pool of ethnically diverse, minority teachers; therefore, this grow your own initiative will benefits our employees, District and most importantly, our students. If you have been admitted into, or currently enrolled in a teacher's certification program with a university or college, this program is for you!

Infinite Campus
Washoe County School District will use the integrated, web-based, user friendly student information system Infinite Campus to improve access to student data.  Through Infinite Campus the delivery of student information will be improved, increasing data driven decision capabilities, advancing student achievement and facilitating communication and family engagement.
