Computer Using Educators of Nevada

CUE-NV is a nonprofit professional organization for educators who are interested in and understand the importance of the use of computers and technology in education.

CUE-NV's mission is to encourage, nurture, support, and promote innovative strategies involving existing and emerging technologies to prepare children for the work force of tomorrow.

CUE-NV's purpose is to provide a forum for communication between educators and those who want to be educators and for fostering the improvement of computer and technology knowledge, skills, and applications of any and all educators.

The Computer Using Educators of Nevada are dedicated to bringing technology integration activities to the classroom teacher through the following activities.

  • Offer relevant training opportunities.
  • Share tools and techniques in which to engage students.
  • Engage in 21st Century Learning activities. 
  • Explore new tools to use in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with peers. 
  • Interact with experts.

eLearning for Educators Nevada

e4e offers teachers in the state of Nevada online professional development classes that can be worked on at their convenience. e4e offers a wide variety of classes 4 times a year. Each course was created by educators, for educators.
•    e4e courses are 6 weeks long and cost $70. Teachers will earn two state approved in-service credits and have the opportunity to optionally earn two college credits (additional $30 for two credits through Southern Utah University to be paid separate from registration).
•    e4e proudly uses Nevada facilitators from throughout the state.
e4e is a collaboration between Elko County School District, Washoe County School District and KNPB Channel 5 Public Television.

 WCSD Striving Readers

The Washoe County School District’s Literacy for Lifelong Learning  for the Striving Reader’s initiative is a comprehensive approach to addressing student literacy achievement for students at risk for academic failure and students who are progressing ahead of their peers.

The New Media Consortium (NMC) is an international not-for-profit consortium of learning-focused organizations dedicated to the exploration and use of new media and new technologies. For 20 years, the consortium and its members have dedicated themselves to exploring and developing potential applications of emerging technologies for learning, research, and creative inquiry.
