Stand Alone HTML Template
Building your site using a stand alone HTML template can be difficult for users with little or no experience in building and developing web sites. The advantages of building a site using this method is that the design of the page has already been developed and all you will be required to do is replace the content in the template with the content of your site.
Advantages
- Site design has already been completed
- Professional (most cases) site design
- Site can be developed relitivily fast
Disadvantages
- Maintaining your site can be time consuming
- Errors in the code can be difficult to find
- Errors in your code can cause the template fail
Free web templates can be located very easily by doing a web search for "Free HTML Web Templates". When deciding on a web template there are a couple of things to consider when choosing.
- Complicated templates will be complicated to maintain and edit.
- Does the template conform to ADA standards?
