Staff Development Department
The Staff Development Department (SDD) was established as part of the Human Resources division beginning with the 2010-2011 school year. The SDD oversees professional development offered through the WCSD Administrative and Supervisory Meetings, Educational Support Professionals Training Services Department, In-Service Department, Mentoring and Induction, New Teacher Academy, Principal Training Program, and through several grant-funded educational technology initiatives. This office also provides support and professional development to the district’s Implementation Specialists who are assigned to each of the four performance zones. In addition, SDD collaborates extensively with other departments to assist them in developing high-quality professional development that will help them meet their department’s goals and objectives.
