Mr. Warden received his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1986.  He received his Master's Equivalency plus 32 credits from the Washoe County School District in 2006.  He started teaching at Wooster in 1989 and has taught many different Industrial Arts classes over the years, focusing mainly on the metals program.  His program introduces students to the many facets of metalworking such as welding, sheet metal, and precision machining.  He loves the outdoors, especially fishing and off-roading. He has also been the Skills-USA Club advisor since 1993.

Lorraine Benham graduated from Mesa State University in Grand Junction, Colorado, where she was employed as the administrator of a large medical practice.  When she moved to Reno, she enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno, to certify to teach Business Education Classes and English. Mrs. Benham spent 10 years at Washoe High School as the Intake Coordinator and the last few years teaching Computer Literacy here at Wooster.

I’m a native Nevadan, and graduated from Sparks High School & UNR. I also received my Masters degree in Technology in Education. I am mother to 4 children, and grandmother to 6 grandchildren. I love to spend time with my family and quiet time reading or gardening. This is my 4th year at Wooster HS and I’m happy to be here.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Creative and Performing Arts from Grand View College and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Directing from the University of Montana. I have directed and performed in numerous theatrical productions. I have taught theatre at the university level as well as theatre and film workshops for all ages.

I teach all levels of theatre: Introduction, Advanced, IB Theatre Arts, and Tech Theatre. I am the advisor for the Wooster Players Drama Club. Basically, I produce and/or direct all theatrical productions. My goal is for Wooster’s Theatre Department to continue to be a thriving and challenging program, offering students the chance to learn and engage in all aspects of theatre, while producing quality, professional shows for the students, faculty, and community to enjoy.

Graduated from the University of Nevada in 1997 with a Human Ecology degree. Earned my teaching credential in 2001 in Family and Consumer Science from the University of Nevada. Earned my master’s degree from Grand Canyon University in 2009. I am a certified food safety manager and trainer from ServSafe food certification which is a nationally used food safety course for the food service industry. I have a Culinary Arts degree from Johnson and Wales University and have line chef experience. I played football for 5 years at the University of Nevada and was invited to training camp in 1997 with the New England Patriots and was cut at the end of training camp. I have been employed with Washoe County School District for the past 9 years and have spent the last 8 at Wooster where I teach Introduction to Foods 1 and 2 as well as Culinary Arts 1 and 2. The culinary arts class run a school based restaurant named Colts Café.

I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and attended Sandia High School before moving onto NMSU and then a term in the US Army. After I returned to Las Cruces, I became involved in the restaurant industry leading to a job as Beverage Manager for a chain in California. In 1989, I decide that for my health and my family I needed to change careers, so I became a Teacher in Albuquerque. I have taught Technology, Woodshop, Business, Computers, Math, Social Studies, and Study Skills. In addition, as the technology coordinator at Albuquerque High School I had the opportunity to work with teachers in every content area, to develop curriculum and integrated units. I am currently certified in ESL, Social Studies, Business and Administration.
            I teach 4 Computer Literacy classes at Wooster and manage “The Company”.
Computer Literacy is a class that provides a basic level of expectations for students at Wooster. The students will spend time learning the keyboard and typing skills. They will then learn Microsoft Office Applications. We will follow the criteria for Microsoft certification in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Last we will start the Adobe course in Web Design using Dream Weaver
The Company is a Business class and will provide instruction in all facets of business operation. Students will be running the Colt Copy Corporation, which will provide printing and design services for the School. Students will also have the opportunity to add more services such as creating PowerPoint presentations and creating online coursework for the teachers.

Robert L. Jensen, Bachelor of Music Performance[1990], Master of Education [1992]. Director, Wooster High School String Orchestra. Attended; Cal. State Univ., Humboldt, Cal. State, Sacramento, Hartt College of Music, University of Utah. A.F.M., Congress of Strings, University of Washington. Bob has been involved with music since his membership in the California Youth Symphony as section and principal bassist. He has received performance studies on the double bass, violoncello, and conducting from: Christine Mulford, Robert Scogliotti, Eugene Schweiger, Gary Karr, and Murray Grodner. He has been a string instructor with the Washoe County School District since 1993. Member: American Federation of Musicians, Music Educators National Conference, Nevada Music Educators Association, American String Teachers Association, International Society of Bassists.

Karen Laramore attended high school in Woodstock, Illinois.  She attended school in Denver Colorado earning an undergraduate degree in Commercial Art.  Karen also has an undergraduate degree in fine art with a focus on printmaking and completed a Masters in Secondary Education, in December of 2008.  She was the Senior Graphic Artist at an archeological firm located in Sparks for eighteen years.  While working on certification at UNR she was a participant in the Technology in Teacher Education -Nevada (TITE-N), designed to increase the proficiency of pre-service teachers in applying modern technology to K-12 instruction in the College of Education at the University of Nevada, Reno.  Ms. Laramore is an advisor for the Wooster Web Wizards.

Lisa Mortara has been a member of Wooster High School's faculty for over 20 years. Having taught French, Italian, and history, she is now teaching in Wooster's computer-based instruction program, called Plato. Susan Russo and she administer the program, wherein students recover credits required for graduation. (Mortara teaches English and Social Studies, while Russo is responsible for Math and Science.) She especially enjoys the richness of encountering students of many cultural backgrounds, as she helps them succeed in school and earn their diplomas.

In addition to teaching, traveling has played an important role in Lisa Mortara's life. Born in Reno, Nevada, and educated at UNR (B.A. in languages and history), she has lived in northwest Italy and Switzerland as well, where she has taught English, worked as a translator, and dabbled in the wine industry.

She still works assiduously with languages and has published a travel adventure on northwest Italy, called A City for all Seasons, Tales of Turin. She is now revising a novel on 1980's Paris, where she has studied, and continues to translate Italian and French, fruits of her ongoing travels in Europe.

Jonathan Phillips graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a Bachelor*s Degree in Music Education. Jonathan is a saxophone player who has studied with Mike McMullen, Peter Epstein, and David Erke. The past five years Jonathan has toured the world with the band Sol*Jibe. As a member of Sol*Jibe, Jonathan went to Cuba and studied at the National School of music in Havana.

The Wooster Music department is able to offer a first hand education in all types of music. Since obligating himself to teaching, you will find Jonathan playing local shows and performing with the Reno Wind Symphony.

Rebecca Rosenberg received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University at Sacramento in 1982 and completed her teaching certificate in Fine Arts at the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1990. She earned her Masters Degree in Contemporary Art History, Theory, and Criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1993 and returned to the Reno area to teach at Carson High School. Mrs. Rosenberg then served as Associate Curator of Education at the Nevada Museum of Art for several years before leaving to live and teach in New York City for three years. Mrs. Rosenberg then returned to Reno to serve as Curator of Education for the newly rebuilt Nevada Museum of Art before coming to teach at Wooster High School in 2005.
